Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol should have the baby and then PUT IT UP FOR ADOPTION! 17-year-olds are not psychologically or financially ready to be parents, nor are they ready for marriage. There are so many stable and secure older couples in their 20s, 30s and 40s waiting to adopt a healthy American baby. Adoption is the answer.
Levi — don’t jump into marriage before you are ready. You deserve to live your young life, and Bristol does too. Therefore, you need to put this kid up for adoption and get on with your lives. Do it for the sake of the baby and for your own futures.

I worked in my state’s vital statistics unit and the first guy tagged as the father wasn’t the biological dad at least 30% of the time. If you don’t find out for sure now you’ll end up being financially responsible for this child for the next 18 years. You’re too young right now so it’s hard to fathom the tragedy of paying for some other guys kid for nearly two decades of your life but, trust me, when you find out the kid isn’t yours it will be too late to do anything about it. Once you start paying you have as much as stated you accept legal responsibility for the kid, regardless of whether or not you are later found NOT to be the father. It’s the legal system’s way of protecting the child. The girl’s mother and her cronies will attempt to bribe you into marrying this girl to preserve her mother’s pro-family political stance. But That Woman’s image is NOT YOUR PROBLEM. Your job is to look out for yourself. First, make sure you actually are the father. If you are you have an obligation to be responsible for the child but you are STILL not responsible for the mother of the child. Hence, you are under no obligation to marry this girl. Assuming you haven’t already accepted the fat wad of cash the GOP has waved at you to get you to do what they want (and to get you to shut up), don’t get sucked into that family circus. You’ve made a mistake but it doesn’t have to destroy your entire life. Regardless, if you’ve not agreed to anything (and even if you have) get that paternity test and find out for sure.
